Hey! I got this article of a magazine and i thought that i might as well post it on here. Enjoy!!!
Just over a decade ago the youth of the world were rocked by the death of the musician Kurt Cobain, who was in the nineties their voice. Front man of the grunge rock band Nirvana, Cobain's lyrics reached out to misunderstood teenagers, who related to his torment and soul searching. Here was a man in pain who, wearing his heart on his sleeve, expressed his blackest desires openly, therefore touching the many lost and confused of that generation. He was viewed as a prophet who understood young peoples latent desires to end it all; he gave voice to the confusion and the disaffection that was felt as the world headed for a new millennium. Dying at the tender age of 27 ensured Cobain a place in the Hard Rock Legend's hall of fame, but he paid the ultimate price. Cobain's lifestyle and marriage to ultra punk rock chick,Courtney Love, may have seemed to his fans to be nihilistically wild ride; bordering on insanity like Iggy Pop, dabbling with death like other anti-rock hero's Morrison,Janis Joplin and Sid Vicious;but Cobain was a tortured individual, who was not playing games and, in the months before his death, had tried hard to lay to rest his demons. He did not succeed. Born in 1967 in Hoaquim, a small town South West of Seattle, Kurt Cobain was a weak and sickly child, who who by the age of 7 was already suffering the crippling depression that would haunt his whole life. His father,a mechanic, divorced his mother a thingytail waitress when he was 7 yrs old and Cobain said from that moment he never felt secure or loved again.
Well that was part 1.Not sure how many parts I'm going to split it in to but there are 3 pages in the magazine! Gemza
